Fulliam Avenue Reconstruction Project

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE: DECEMBER 30, 2025

The Fulliam Avenue Reconstruction Project was completed in three phases with West Fulliam Avenue reconstructed from Kindler to Houser streets. Each two-block phase was completed while school was out for the summer.

PHASE I - WEST ACRES DRIVE TO KINDLER

Phase I has been completed with the Fulliam Avenue roadway from West Acres Drive to Kindler Avenue replaced. New sidewalk was added on the south side of Fulliam along with improvements to the storm sewer system.

PHASE 2 - WEST ACRES DRIVE TO 2716 WEST FULLIAM AVENUE

Phase 2 has been completed with the Fulliam Avenue roadway from West Acre Drive to approximately 2716 West Fulliam Avenue replaced. The phase included reconstruction of pavement, installation of sidewalk, and replacement and installation of ADA-compliant pedestrian crossings.

PHASE 3 - 2716 WEST FULLIAM AVENUE TO HOUSER STREET

Phase 3 included the replacement of approximately 700 feet of Fulliam Avenue and added multiple storm sewer inlets to bring the drainage on the street up to modern standards.

PHASE 4 - ROUNDABOUT AT HOUSER AND FULLIAM

Phase 4, a mini-roundabout at Houser and Fulliam, tentatively scheduled for Summer 2026.

BACKGROUND

Heuer Construction, Inc., was awarded the $702,543.50 contract for Phase 1 during the May 4, 2023, City Council meeting. 

Heuer Construction , Inc., was awarded the $702,915.00 contract for Phase 2 during the May 16, 2024, City Council meeting.

Heuer Construction, Inc., was awarded the $463,626.20 contract for Phase 3 during the May 1, 2025, City Council meeting.

Funding for the project is available in the budgeted capital  project fund from the Pavement Management portion of the Local Option Sales tax.
