The Muscatine Police Department’s Criminal Investigations Division is under the direct command of an Investigative Sergeant and an Investigative Lieutenant. The division is comprised of two different groups each focusing on specific disciplines. The Major Crimes Unit (MCU) is made up of four general crimes detectives and the Muscatine County Drug Task Force (DTF) includes two assigned officers to the joint task force.
The Department’s Property Management Division is overseen by the Investigation Lieutenant. This division is responsible for police department evidence, including intake, release and disposal.
