[ARCHIVED] Registration for Tee-Ball League is underway

tee Ball

MUSCATINE, Iowa – The 2019 Tee-Ball program is gearing up for the first swing of the summer season and the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department is inviting all five- and six-year-olds to register today.

The Tee-Ball program is designed to teach the fundamentals of baseball and softball through coached practices and non-competitive games that are incorporated into the program. Players all hit from an adjustable batting tee.

Participants must be five-years-old by June 10, 2019, and all participants will receive a tee-ball T-shirt. Practices and games will be conducted at Kent Stein Park.

Adults do not have to miss out on the fun this summer, and can bring America’s Pastime to Muscatine by volunteering to be a head or assistant coach for a tee-ball team. Each team will need at least two volunteer coaches. Any adult wishing to volunteer should contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (563) 263-0241 or email at parksoffice@muscatineiowa.gov.

Registration is now available online through the City of Muscatine website, in person at the Parks and Recreation office in the lower level of City Hall, or by phone at (563) 263-0241.

Participants may register for the Monday/Wednesday session (June 10 – July 3) or the Tuesday/Thursday session (June 11 – July 9). Space is limited in each session so don’t wait to register your all-star up for this program. Registration is open through May 27, 2019. There is a $30.00 fee for residents and a $35.00 fee for non-residents.

For more information, please contact the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department at (563) 263-0241
