MUSCATINE, Iowa – City Administrator Gregg Mandsager has announced that the budget hearing scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 5, has been postponed due to the concerns on the impending weather.
“Based on recent discussions with DPW (Department of Public Works), we will be cancelling tonight’s budget session,” Mandsager said.
The Muscatine City Council was to hear 2019-2020 budget proposals for Capital Projects, debt, and TIF along with a review of the Local Option Sales Tax during Tuesday’s meeting. That discussion will now be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 6, in the lower level conference room at Muscatine City Hall, in conjunction with the Wednesday’s regularly scheduled Budget Hearing that has the review and final discussions of the proposed 2019-2020 budget on its agenda.
A budget hearing has also been scheduled, if needed, for 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, in the lower level conference room at City Hall. A session is also scheduled for 8 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, if needed.
Revised agendas are available online under Agendas & Minutes on the city web site.
