MUSCATINE, Iowa – The temporary closure of a portion of Clinton Street, between Hershey Avenue and New Hampshire, has been extended through at least Saturday, December 1, 2018.
Triton Plumbing is repairing a sewer line at 1904 Hershey Avenue and ran into thicker concrete than anticipated which required the hiring a contractor to tear it out. The entire project may not be completed until the first of next week depending on weather conditions and construction needs.
The closure was approved by the Muscatine City Council on Nov. 1, 2018.
Drivers are urged to plan for alternate routes during this three-day period and, as always, use caution when travelling around or near construction areas.
