MUSCATINE, Iowa – The Muscatine Greenwood Cemetery annual fall cleanup is underway according to the City of Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department.
All grave decorations must be removed from Greenwood Cemetery by Monday, Oct. 15, 2018. All remaining grave decorations will be removed and discarded by cemetery staff after that date. This includes, but is not limited to: wreaths, silk flowers, grave blankets, wooden crosses, statuary, toys, cobblestones, and potted plants.
Undecorated metal shepherd’s hooks, Remembrance Vigil candles, and Solar Lights WILL NOT be removed by cemetery staff.
New grave decorations may be brought into the cemetery after Thursday, Nov. 1, 2018. Cemetery staff reminds those bringing decorations that no more than two decorations per grave is allowed.
