MUSCATINE, Iowa – A competitive sand volleyball tournament for high school students (grades nine through 12) will be held on Saturday, Aug. 25, on the Weed Park Courts located behind the lagoon just off of the Colorado Street entrance. The tournament is sponsored by the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department.
The first 10 teams to register will be eligible for the tournament that will begin at 9 a.m. The tournament format will be five-team pool play with the top two teams in each pool progressing to a final elimination round.
This competitive yet fun tournament is the perfect way to enjoy the last days of Summer 2018. Show off your skills and have fun with friends while competing for the championship. A trophy and t-shirts will be awarded to the first place team with t-shirts also awarded to the second place team.
The tournament fee is $50.00 plus $5.00 for each non-resident on the roster. All fees and roster information are due at the time of registration.
Registration is happening now in the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department office located in the lower level of City Hall, 215 Sycamore St., Muscatine. Deadline for registration is 5 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 22. Get your team together and register today.
