MUSCATINE, Iowa – The Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department will be hosting an adult coed Sand Volleyball Tournament on the Weed Park Courts on Saturday, August 4. The courts are located behind the lagoon just off the Colorado Street entrance. Competition starts at 9 a.m. with registration limited to the first 10 teams that sign up for the tournament.
This competitive yet fun tournament is the perfect way to spend a summer morning. Get some exercise, show off your skills and have fun with friends while competing to claim the championship. A trophy and t-shirts will be awarded to the first place team and t-shirts will be presented to the second place team.
The tournament format will be five-team pool play with the top two teams in each pool progressing to a final elimination round. The tournament fee is $50.00 plus $5.00 for each non-resident on the roster. All fees and roster information are due at the time of registration.
Registration is happening now at the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department office located in the lower level of City Hall. Hurry in before the registration deadline on Friday, July 27.
