MUSCATINE, Iowa – The Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Sport Shorts program for three- to five-year-olds. Sport Shorts will be held each Monday night from July 9 through July 30 in the Upper Loop of Weed Park. Two time sessions are offered, from 5:00-5:55 p.m. or 6:00-6:55 p.m. All participants will receive a tee-shirt included in the cost of registration.
Participants will be introduced to a variety of active sports and games that will allow them to interact with other children. This program will emphasize good sportsmanship, physical activity, socialization and fun. Each week children will be introduced to a new game such as tee-ball, kickball, soccer, tennis, and more.
