[ARCHIVED] Grandview Avenue Revitalization Open House is February 8

02-08-18 Open House

MUSCATINE, Iowa – The Muscatine Water Treatment Plant (also known as the Water Pollution Control Plant) is the place to be on Thursday night for anyone interested in the upcoming Grandview Avenue Corridor Revitalization Project. The Open House will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. at the Water Treatment Plant, 1202 Musser St.

City staff and engineers will be on hand to introduce and host a discussion on the goals, schedule, and potential outcomes for the project. This is the first of several meetings which will be held over the next year as the City gears up to begin the two-year project in 2019.

Greening of the corridor is one of the major aspects of the current plan along with creating additional sidewalks, improved traffic control, and a more vibrant and visually appealing entrance into the City of Muscatine. Another consideration for the project is the belief that the revitalization of the corridor will greatly enhance in the attraction of business into the south end.

All residents and interested members of the public are invited to attend the Open House.
