MUSCATINE, Iowa – A long-running legal dispute between the City of Muscatine and former City Administrator Gregg Mandsager has officially been resolved. On Thursday night (May 1), the Muscatine City Council voted to approve a General Release agreement, bringing the litigation to a close and dismissing all related lawsuits with prejudice.
Under the terms of the agreement, the City of Muscatine, Mandsager, and former City Attorney Matt Brick have each agreed to dismiss their respective claims without any monetary settlement. All parties will be responsible for their own legal fees and associated costs.
The General Release further stipulates that all parties release and permanently discharge one another from any liability connected to the claims, allegations, or incidents involved in the lawsuits.
