MUSCATINE, Iowa – Ballet Des Moines will once again bring their Summer Stem Tour to the Muscatine riverfront with a free community performance along with family STEM and Art activities from 5-8 p.m. Friday, June 9. In preparation for the event, the small parking lot in the downriver end of Riverside Park will be closed to traffic starting at 7 a.m. Friday.
The professional company of Ballet Des Moines will entertain patrons with performances from the works of emerging and leading female choreographers along with classical works that have been enjoyed by audiences around the world.
The family STEM and Art activities will be provided by NASA Iowa Space Grant Consortium, Iowa 4-H, FLEx Lab, Amazing Women of Iowa, Musser Public Library, Muscatine Art Center, Keep Muscatine Beautiful, Muscatine County Energy District, Bayer Crop Science, Stanley Center for Peace and Security, MPW, Guadalajara, Muscatine County Arts Council, and The Box Lunch LLC.
Bring your blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy and evening of fun activities and entertainment on the riverfront.
