MUSCATINE, Iowa – MuscatineOurCity will be returning the airwaves at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 11, with guest Erik Reader, President/CEO of the Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GMMCI).

Utilizing today’s technology and new-found skills with Zoom, the program will be able to safely share Our City information. The Our City show, hosted by Muscatine Mayor Diana Broderson, premiered in April 2018 with weekly shows airing until March 10, 2020, when the show was suspended in response to the coronavirus pandemic. Programming resumed on October 1, 2020, with five shows airing before the show as again suspended as COVID cases increased.

“Now, here we are today, with a new format that can continue regardless of the pandemic which we hope and pray is near the end but regardless, the show will go on,” Mayor Broderson said.

Our City will be broadcast live at 2 p.m. every Thursday on the MuscatineOurCity YouTube page, MuscatineOurCity Facebook page, and Muscatine Power and Water Channel 5. Replays will be broadcast on MPW Cable Channel 5 throughout the week and will be shared on various Facebook pages.

The 2nd Thursday of each month will focus on a City Department and the last Thursday of each month will be an update on the Grandview Avenue Reconstruction Project. The other weeks will be community guests.

“We are excited to once again be in your homes bringing you information on current projects right here in Our City,” Mayor Broderson said.
