[ARCHIVED] City offices closed Monday (Feb. 15); refuse collection changed

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Administrative offices of the City of Muscatine and most departments will be closed on Monday, Feb. 15, 2021, for President’s Day. City administrative offices will reopen at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2021.

 

The Transfer Station will be closed on Monday, Feb. 15, for President’s Day. The facility will resume regular hours on Tuesday, Feb. 16.

 

There will be no curbside refuse collection on Monday, Feb. 15. Residents on the Monday route will have their refuse collected on Tuesday, Feb. 16, along with the regular Tuesday route.

 

There will be no change to the curbside recycling collection.

 

There will be no curbside bulky waste collection on Monday, Feb. 15, or Tuesday, Feb. 16. Curbside bulky waste collection is not completed on holidays or on “double” days when two-days of refuse collection are undertaken in one day.

 

Muscatine and Fruitland residents are reminded that they need to call 563-264-JUNK (563-264-5865) to schedule a collection by the Solid Waste Division or email bulkywaste@muscatineiowa.gov

 

The Compost Facility at the Muscatine Transfer Station will be closed until spring.
