The Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department is offering a Winter Youth Baseball Pitching Clinic for boys ages 8-14. The pitching clinic is a great way for the youth of Muscatine to learn the basic fundamentals and mechanics of pitching a baseball across the plate.
The program is designed so that each participant will be involved in one group lesson (up to 30 students) and four semi-private lessons (1 or 2 students).
The group lesson will be at the following time: Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at 7:00 pm in the West Middle School Small Gym. Parents are asked to attend the group lesson in order to schedule the four semi-private lessons.
The semi-private lessons will be held for 30 minutes on Mondays at the Franklin Elementary Gym and Wednesdays in the West Middle School Small Gym between 5:30 pm and 7:30 pm in the weeks following the group lesson.
The instructor for the clinic will be Brandon Nau. The registration fee is $45.00 for residents and $50.00 for non-residents. The deadline for registration will be Tuesday, January 8 at 5:00 pm. You may register at the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department in the lower level of City Hall, 215 Sycamore, by phone with credit card, or online at http://activenet6.active.com/muscatine/.
