MUSCATINE, Iowa – The Muscatine Power and Water (MPW) Communications Department will be working in the area of Mississippi Drive from Ash to Broadway streets during the day on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2020, and during the night on Tuesday, Oct. 20, 2020.
The eastbound (upriver) lane of Mississippi Drive will be closed to traffic from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 15, and from 12:01 a.m. to 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 20. The lane closure will reduce traffic three lanes to two with eastbound traffic diverted into the center turn lane and back into the eastbound lane before the median just east of Broadway Street.
Once work has been completed the lane restriction will be removed.
Drivers are urged to slow down, watch for traffic control devices, and use caution when travelling through this area. Use alternate routes if possible. All work is weather dependent.
