MUSCATINE, Iowa – The annual “Walk (or Ride) Through History” at Greenwood Cemetery is set for 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 27, 2020. The Greenwood Cemetery is located at 1814 Lucas Street. The Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department sponsors this fun for all ages and free to attend annual event.
Include this annual tradition on your fall festivities calendar and learn some unique tidbits of Muscatine’s history. Your tour guide will relay 19 enticing stories about some of Greenwood Cemetery’s most interesting and influential residents. All tales will be historically accurate and guaranteed to entertain you.
The “Walk (or Ride) Through History” will take place rain or shine, and will last for approximately one hour.
Muscabus tours will be available for those who wish to ride, or in the case of inclement weather. Pre-registration is required for Muscabus riders, and masks or face coverings are required for participants wishing to take the Muscabus tour. Reserve your bus seat by contacting the Parks and Recreation Department office at (563) 263-0241.
Walking groups and Muscabus tours will meet outside of the Greenwood Cemetery Chapel. Pre-registration is not required for walking tours.
