[ARCHIVED] Girls Basketball Clinic

All girls in 1st through 6th grades are invited to participate in the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department’s Girls Basketball Clinic. Learn the fundamentals of basketball through ball handling, shooting, and defensive tactics. Staff will lead the children in an instructional program once a week for four weeks.

On the final two Saturdays, Coach Orvis and the Muscatine High School Girls’ Basketball team will be on hand to run drills with clinic participants in a combined class.

It will be held at West Middle School Large Gymnasium on Saturday mornings – November 17th, December 1st, 8th, and 15th. 1st and 2nd grade will be from 9:00am to 9:50am. 3rd and 4th grade will be from 10:00am to 10:50am. 5th and 6th grade will be from 11:00am to 11:50am. On December 8th and 15th, all groups will meet from 10 am – Noon for special instruction from MHS coaches and players.

The registration fee for the clinic is $25.00 for residents and $30.00 for non-residents. All participants will receive a t-shirt.

Registration is limited. The registration deadline is Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 5:00 pm. You may register at the Parks and Recreation Department in the lower level of City Hall, 215 Sycamore, by phone with credit card, or online at
