The emergency sewer repair in the 2600 block of North Houser Street was completed Monday afternoon according to David Popp, Solid Waste, Collections, and Drainage Manager for the city of Muscatine. Public Works crews were backfilling and restoring pavement Tuesday (Aug. 25) with traffic restrictions tentatively scheduled to be lifted once the concrete has had time to cure.
Drivers are reminded to use caution when travelling through the construction zone, slow down, obey traffic control devices, and be aware of workers. Use an alternate route if available.
