MUSCATINE, Iowa – A flag football league for boys and girls is being organized by the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department. Competition will be held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, September 1 through October 8. The competition will take place on Diamond #3 in Kent Stein Park from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Youth Flag Football has been designed to teach football skills and teamwork through organized practices, informal scrimmages, and formal games. Flag football will be played under the lights of Kent Stein Park with the guidance of coaches, field supervisors, and referees.
Participants in the Youth Flag Football league will receive a t-shirt, a mouthpiece, and entry into the Muskie Punt, Pass & Kick competition.
Registration is open now with a $25.00 fee for Muscatine residents and a $30.00 fee for non-residents. The registration deadline is Monday, August 31, so don’t hesitate to reserve your spot in-person, over the phone, or online at www.muscatineiowa.gov/registration.
