[ARCHIVED] Your furry friend would love a Muscatine Dog Park annual pass

Muscatine Dog Park (JPG)

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Humans can spoil their pup pals with an annual permit to the Muscatine Dog Park for the rest of the year. Excitable dogs will love running and tussling with new friends while timid or older dogs may just enjoy playing with their human(s) in their very own enclosure.

The Muscatine Dog Park offers many amenities for canines and their humans including three enclosures with benches and seasonal water fountains. The large dog enclosure is three-acres and recommended for dogs measuring 15 inches at the shoulder or taller. Dogs under 15 inches at the shoulder are recommended to play in the small dog area which boasts 1.5 acres. The shy/timid area is perfect for dogs who are new to the park, are being rehabilitated, or prefer solitary play.

For a full list of rules and recommendations, visit the Muscatine Dog Park page on the City of Muscatine web site.

Dog owners may purchase the permits in the Parks and Recreation Department office at Muscatine City Hall or online at the Parks and Recreation online portal with a debit or credit card. Permits purchased through the registration website will be mailed directly to the dog owner’s household after proof of vaccinations is provided.

Annual permits cost $15.00 and are valid from the date they are purchased until December 31, 2020. Muscatine citizens must also obtain a City Pet License through the Finance Department at Muscatine City Hall.
