MUSCATINE, Iowa – At the Musser Public Library we value our role as a community resource serving as a gateway to life-long learning, offering a diverse spectrum of innovative services, materials, and programming. During the coming days, library and city staff will continue to work towards providing as many services as possible while observing health and safety recommendations of local, state, and federal authorities.
Based on administrative decisions, the Musser Public Library will be closed to the public effective at 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 17, 2020, through Sunday, April 12, 2020, subject to change as the situation evolves. All public library programs, meeting room reservations, and outreach will be temporarily suspended for the duration of the closure.
All overdue fines will be waived during this period. Patrons can continue to return materials that are due to the outdoor book drop located in the alley behind the library.
The Library WiFi network (Musser Public Library) will be available 24/7 during this time and can be accessed directly outside the building depending on your devices connectivety strength. The password for the network is musserpl.
The library building will be closed to the public but library staff will be available and are reporting for work during normally scheduled hours for reference assistance by phone (563-263-3065) or by email (refmus@musctineiowa.gov).
