MUSCATINE, Iowa  Fans of Elsa, Anna, and the rest of the cast of Frozen know the phrase “Do you want to build a snowman?” rather well. The Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department is asking that same question to all area residents.

The Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department will host the annual Snow Pile Treasure Hunt from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, at the Muscatine Municipal Golf Course, 1820 Hwy 38 N, Muscatine, Iowa. All area residents are invited to come out and participate in this family-friendly event.

The event will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the Snow Pile Treasure Hunt for children in preschool through the fifth grade. Children will be able to hunt for and find hidden golf balls that can be redeemed for prizes outside the Clubhouse.

The Snowman Building Contest is open to artists of all ages and will be held immediately following the Snow Pile Treasure Hunt. Families will have fun racing against the clock and other competitors to gather their materials and build their very best snowman. Each participant will receive a prize.

This is a free activity with no pre-registration required. Contact the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department at (563) 263-0241 for more information.
