MUSCATINE, Iowa – A one hour road closure on the 100 block of Brook Street has been requested by C&C Construction according to Randy Howell, Roadway Maintenance Supervisor in the Department of Public Works. The closure is tentatively planned for either Saturday, Oct. 19, or Monday (Oct. 21) morning, and is dependent on the weather.

C&C Construction will be using a pumper truck to pump concrete over the top of a house to pour footings and a floor for a garage.

Drivers are urged to use caution when driving through this area and to find alternate routes if possible.

WORK ON 2ND AND OAK INTERSECTION – Work continues in the intersection of 2nd Street and Oak Street where a section of the intersection was removed to install fiber optics between the old HNI Corporate offices on Oak Street and the new offices off of 2nd Street. Through traffic on 2nd Street will not be hindered but traffic turning onto Oak Street may see delays. Drivers are urged to use caution when driving through this area.
