[ARCHIVED] Street closures in downtown Muscatine this weekend

MUSCATINE, Iowa – Portions of Iowa Avenue and 2nd Street in Downtown Muscatine will be closed to traffic over the weekend.


The 100 block of Iowa Avenue will be closed from 6 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, until 12 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 22, 2019, for a music festival sponsored by Missipi Brewing Co.


The 200 block of Iowa Avenue will be closed from 8 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, until 10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 21, 2019, for the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Muscatine County and the Special Olympics “Over the Edge” event.


Second Saturday is being held on the third Saturday this month in conjunction with the “Over the Edge” event with 2nd Street closed from Cedar to Iowa including the intersection with Sycamore Street from 2-9 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2019.


Drivers are urged to take notice of this street closures and seek alternate routes of travel.
