MUSCATINE, Iowa – The City of Muscatine and the Muscatine Parks and Recreation Department are inviting proposals from qualified individuals or organizations interested in operating concessions at the upcoming MUSCO Sports Center, scheduled for completion in late August 2025. The City is pursuing a multi-year partnership for these services.
Vendors with proven experience in managing concession operations—including the sale of food and alcoholic beverages—are encouraged to apply. The facility is licensed to permit the sale of beer, wine, and champagne.
As part of the facility’s beverage offerings, the City has secured a five-year agreement with Atlantic Coca-Cola Bottling Company to provide all non-alcoholic drinks. This partnership was officially approved by the Muscatine City Council on May 15.
An optional pre-bid meeting will be held at 2:00 p.m. on June 17 at the Parks and Recreation office in Muscatine City Hall (215 Sycamore Street, lower level).
The state-of-the-art MUSCO Sports Center will feature a synthetic turf field, permanent restrooms, and a dedicated concessions area. It is designed to host a variety of events including football, soccer, baseball, softball, pickleball, and other community gatherings.
Interested vendors must submit proposals by 2:00 p.m. on June 24. Full proposal guidelines and requirements are available online:
