MUSCATINE, Iowa – The City of Muscatine will temporarily close a section of Fletcher Avenue to through traffic beginning Thursday, May 15. The closure will extend from Hershey Avenue to the top of the hill near the Greenwood Cemetery maintenance entrance.
The Street Maintenance Division will be excavating and repairing a hazardous section of the roadway near the top of Millers Hill. Work is scheduled to begin Thursday with repaving expected to take place Friday, May 16, weather permitting.

Drivers are advised to use alternate routes during the closure. Detours will be in place directing traffic to North Houser Street or Main Street, continuing north to Lucas Street.
