MUSCATINE, Iowa – Muscatine Parks and Recreation invites the community to join in on some deliciously good fun down on the riverfront this holiday season with the annual Candy Cane Hunt. Bring the children and watch the fun during the hunt that will begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 6, outside the Pearl City Station in Riverside Park.
Children will gather sweet treats to keep, and will receive a prize for each candy cane found. “Special” candy canes will be sprinkled around that can be redeemed at Pearl City Station for a special toy.
Areas will be set up in the green space near the basketball courts for two age groups including pre-kindergarten through first grade and second through fourth grade girls and boys. The Candy Cane Hunt will be held in the dark, so bring a flashlight of your own or use one of ours.
