MUSCATINE, Iowa – A sanitary sewer replacement project at 813 East 8th Street has been delayed due to the Mississippi River flooding. East 8th Street was scheduled to be closed to traffic between Poplar and Spring streets Monday (July 15) through Friday (July 19), but due to the traffic detour for river flooding, the work has been postponed.
In addition, a sewer project on Clinton Street, scheduled for July 22-26, has been postponed. When a new time frame has been established, Clinton Street will be closed between Angle and Schiller to reroute a sewer across the street.
Broders Excavating will be conducting the work at both locations.
A revised schedule of street closures will be announced after the flood detour has been removed.
