MUSCATINE, Iowa – Muscatine Mayor Brad Bark will name At-Large Council member Angie Lewis as Mayor Pro-Tem and then request Council to approve the appointments of elected officials to various boards and commissions during Thursday’s (Jan. 18) City Council meeting.

A highlight of Thursday’s meeting will come early on as the Muscatine High School Choir will perform the National Anthem.

Only seven action items are on the agenda for Council consideration including the awarding of the contract for the Sunset Park Lighting Project, setting a public hearing regarding revisions to the ATV/UTV ordinance, and adoption of the City Council Goals for the 2024 Calendar Year.

The Council meeting begins at 6 p.m. and the public is welcomed, and encouraged, to attend the session in person.

Several options are available for those who cannot attend in person but would like to watch the proceedings. The City Council meeting will be broadcast live on the City of Muscatine YouTube channel and on Civic-TV (Muscatine Power & Water Cable Channel 2). A virtual option is also available for those who want to watch the proceedings on their desktop, laptop, tablet, or smartphone. Information on joining the virtual session is listed below.
