MUSCATINE, Iowa – The Compost Facility at the Muscatine Transfer Station was closed Sunday due to the snowfall and will remain closed until 12 p.m. Wednesday. The Compost Facility will remain open through December 17, 2023, depending on the weather, when it will close for the season.
Compost Facility hours are 12-5 p.m. Sunday through Friday, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday. Call the Muscatine Transfer Station at 563-263-9689 with questions regarding the Compost Facility.
The facility will be closed for the winter season starting December 17, 2023, but will reopen for the 2024 season in March.
