MUSCATINE, Iowa – A Muscatine Public Transit driver was recognized during the 2021 Iowa Public Transit Association (IPTA) Annual Meeting and Training Conference as the City of Muscatine Public Transit (MuscaBus) Driver of the Year.
Joe Bottoms was recognized during the virtual conference last week after being nominated by the Public Transit division of the Muscatine Department of Public Works. Bottoms met and exceeded all the criteria for the recognition.
The criteria to be considered for driver of the year are: work at least 780 hours, had no fault accidents or moving violations, work at least 95 percent of all scheduled work, and have no documented incidents or complaints.
