MUSCATINE, Iowa – All five- and six-year-olds are invited to register for the 2020 Muscatine Parks and Recreation Fall Tee-Ball program played on the diamonds at Kent Stein Park.
The program will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Thursday evenings from September 17 through October 8 with practices and games conducted on Diamonds #9 and #14 at Kent Stein Park.
The Tee-Ball program is designed to teach the fundamentals of baseball and softball through coached practices and non-competitive games that are incorporated into the program. All players hit from an adjustable batting tee.
Participants must be age five (5) or six (6) during the 2020 calendar year. All participants will receive a Tee-Ball t-shirt.
Registration is now available online through the City of Muscatine website, in person at the Parks and Recreation office in the lower level of City Hall, or by phone at (563) 263-0241. Space is limited in the program, so do not wait to sign your all-star up for this activity. There is a $25.00 fee for residents and a $30.00 fee for non-residents.
Volunteer Coaches Needed
Volunteer coaches are needed to lead each team during this four-week program. Any adult wishing to volunteer should contact the Parks and Recreation Department at (563) 263-0241 or email at parksoffice@muscatineiowa.gov. A coaches meeting is scheduled for Thursday, September 10 at 6:00 p.m.
