The Public Art Advisory Commission was founded to promote and encourage programs that further public awareness of, accessibility to, participation in, and support for the artistic and cultural development of the City of Muscatine. The Commission evaluates gifts of art to be installed on City of Muscatine property, advises City Council on potential sites that can be enhanced by the addition of public art and recommend proposals for such sites, partners with public and private entities to develop projects to be implemented with the City of Muscatine, and evaluates and recommends the expenditure of funds for art and cultural activities.
The Public Art Commission consists of five members with one member representing or having an interest in public art from Muscatine County.
